Emotion-Focused Family Therapy Caregiver Workshop

Foundry Virtual is excited to host a FREE Emotion-Focused Family Therapy Caregiver workshop! This evidence-based workshop will introduce practical skills for parents and caregivers to strengthen relationships, increase cooperation and respond to strong emotional reactions, including expressions of worry, anger, hopelessness, even silence. The workshop will be offered online through Zoom over the course of 4 half-day sessions. This workshop is free of charge for all caregivers of young people ages 12-25 in BC. What's in Your Toolbox: Mindfulness Skills for Everyday Living

In collaboration with the Crisis Centre, Foundry Virtual is offering “What’s in Your Toolbox: Mindfulness Skills for Everyday Living”. Teen Y-Minds

7 Week Program for Youth Ages 13-18 - Teaching Tools to Manage Stress & Anxiety

A great provincial wide program that will be delivered on Zoom this fall to youth ages 13-18 :)
Parkgate Society has been working in partnership with the YMCA to deliver this prevention program to individuals that may be experiencing mild-moderate levels of anxiety or stress.


About this Event:
Everyone experiences stress and anxiety sometimes, but for many, these emotions can become overwhelming and begin to interfere with daily life. This mental wellness program, for youth ages 13-18, teaches tools for managing anxiety, stress, and other difficult emotions. The program incorporates art, music, group discussions, and mindfulness practice to create a fun and dynamic way to learn about mental health.
To learn more about what the program has to offer, you must register for a mandatory information session by contacting either Erika or Shakila, the Y-Mind facilitators :)

Program details:
  *   This program will be online using the video-conferencing application, Zoom.
  *   7 weekly sessions (Wednesdays, Oct. 21st- Dec. 2nd); 4:00pm - 5:30pm
  *   No cost to participate
  *   Facilitated by 2 trained youth workers
  *   Group sessions of 8-12 youth
  *   Youth interested in participating must attend a virtual information session.
  *   Parents/guardians may also attend the information session, but youth interested in participating must be present.

NSNH Youth Outreach

Our COVID-19 related services include:

FREE Counselling Support (for up to 6 weeks) CALL NOW 236-982-9871

We know it can be difficult to reach out for help, but we are here for you and your family. This free service is available for anyone impacted by this crisis including first responders, overwhelmed parents, and anyone feeling anxious, fearful, isolated, depressed – or grieving the loss of someone they love.

Call 236-982-9871 (local) Monday to Friday (9am-5pm) and speak directly with one of our highly skilled counsellors who provide the immediate support you need. They will schedule ongoing sessions as needed and also let you know about additional supports available for you and your family.
