Take Our Kids to Work Day is a national program where Grade 9 students have the opportunity to job shadow an adult for the day. This program highlights the importance of education, skills development, and training while giving Grade 9 students the opportunity to experience the world of work and the variety of career opportunities available to them.
Of course, this year, things are different. COVID-19 has affected workplaces in dramatic ways. And, just like the world of work, Take Our Kids to Work Day has had to adapt.
Although the experience this year is not the same, we hope these resources and activities will offer a starting point to think about what life beyond school could look like for you, and, allow you to consider the different paths available to meet your future goals.
